SIFE(Students in Free Enterprise) is a non-profit global organization that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 2000 colleges and universities in 50 countries. SIFE was started in 1975 and has its Head Quarters in Springfield, USA. Students are guided by distinguished faculty to evolve many concepts through educational outreach projects, including market economics, personal skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business ethics, to better themselves, their communities and their countries. |

SIOM aims towards World Class Management Programs with emphasis on Operations Management.
There is the real opportunity to emerge as World Class in every sector. The companies need to adopt new and different business models. SIOM is an effort to nurture the students mindsets and skills so that they master the ability to manage ambitious corporate growth by achieving cost excellence, acquiring market excellence rapidly, strengthening and customizing design and building global / regional operating footprints. SIOM is born out of the conviction that engineers, if forged and chiseled in an exclusive B-School environment can be outstanding business techno – professionals atop the current competitive markets by developing the critical and required traits.

Mission:Reach out to the farmers in remote villages around Nashik, to develop entrepreneurial skills through transfer of our business and management knowledge.
SIFE was introduced to Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM) in November, 2009 and this year SIFE SIOM has undertaken some projects where the students could apply their academic knowledge to build a better community for a better tomorrow.
SIFE SIOM has till date under took some challenging projects like financial literacy program sponsored by HSBC is aiming at providing financial aid to the inhabitants of Nashik and suburbs, Project Kshitij that is striving to develop a Farmer’s Producer Company, Devnadi Valley Agricultural Producer Company, Sinnar, and connecting the farmers directly to the customers and Project Bee Happy that tries to impart knowledge and business skills to the farmers of various villages in and around Nashik, by training them in several scientific methods of bee keeping.
